UK Libraries will move to OpenAthens as its single sign-on authentication system in place of EZproxy. This change will create a more seamless and branded experience for users, improve support for offsite users with and without linkblue IDs, and improve security. We expect the project to begin in early 2023 with an official launch in Summer 2023. *Please note that prior to the Summer 2023 launch users may see "University of Kentucky" listed on the OpenAthens "Find your institution" list. However, authenitcation via OpenAthens will not be possible until after the Summer 2023 launch. In the meantime - and for a concurrent period after launch - users may continue to use EZProxy for authentication. |
