The three parts of Apartheid South Africa cover the period between 1948 and 1980 and explore the inception and implementation of apartheid by Daniel Malan, the strengthening of policies by Hendrik Verwoerd and the eventual destabilisation of the system under P. W. Botha. Documents, dispatches, reports, telegrams and handwritten embassy notes both from South Africa and from Britain, the United States and other powers provide first-hand analyses of South Africa's relationship with the international community, her struggles with internal resistance, civil unrest and anti-apartheid organisations and the implementation of policies to forcibly remove black Africans into independent 'self-governing' Bantustans. Third Iron, the creators of Browzine, have developed LibKey Link which allows users to access PDFs directly from PubMed in just one click. The typical access model to articles from PubMed is outlined below. It is important to note this will remain the default model. LibKey eliminates the need to navigate to the Link Resolver (UK's InfoKat Discovery menu) and the publisher page - saving clicks and time. When LibKey locates an article PDF, it will automatically open it in a new tab once the "View Now UK" button is clicked. It's important to note that LibKey Link is supported by many, but not all publishers. See this list provided by Third Iron for the latest information on publisher support.
Also note LibKey Link is limited to users routing through the UK version of PubMed, rather than the free NLM or PMC versions listed in the UK Databases list. BrowZine is now integrated into UK InfoKat Discovery. If Browzine identifies an available PDF in its collections, a Download PDF link will be displayed in the search result record. It will also display a link to the issue's Table of Contents with the View Issue Contents link. If no PDF is identified, but the issue contents are available in Browzine, only the View Issue Contents link will be displayed. In addition to article-level integration, when searching e-journals from the library homepage, if the journal is found in BrowZine, you will see a View Journal Contents link, which will take you to the journal-level page in BrowZine. From there, you can browse all available issues and their tables of contents. For more information on the BrowZine service at UK Libraries, check out the LibGuide here
